Degree: Paramedic Science (Bachelors) - St. George's University
Hello! My name is Ash and I'm a first year Student Paramedic at St George's, University of London. I was previously studying Medicine at Durham University before I left having decided that becoming a doctor wasn't the right path for me. In my spare time I volunteer for St John Ambulance and Teddy Bear Hospital and I swim quite often. I also have an IQ in the top 1% of the population and I'm a bit of a nerd, so I quite enjoy things like puzzles and brain training.
As a tutor
As a dyslexic student, I appreciate as much as anyone the need for bespoke teaching. Everyone learns a different way and you need a tutor to cater for that. I've learnt some things in some weird ways and have some odd revision strategies, so you may find that I can teach you something different in that sense.
In terms of a general lesson, I refer back to the need for bespoke teaching. I want to know what it is that you need that extra help with and then be able to help you with that. I'm very flexible in that sense and I have a good level of patience, so I'm very happy to go at any pace you require. Likewise, if you're picking something up very quickly, let's make it more challenging.
I want to study medicine, nursing, midwifery, paramedic science etc. at university
I can definitely help. In healthcare we have a real community and I'm incredibly happy to help. Ranging from which university may suit you best to which course you want to do, I'm very happy to help. Especially when it comes to personal statements, I'm a good person to ask. Having had to write two myself and having read so many other healthcare personal statements, I really know what I'm doing in this area.
Think I seem nice?
Aww shucks. Well, what can I say, I'm a delight! Feel free to message me and ask for a trial meet. We'll see how it goes and if it seems like I'll work well as your tutor. Whether it's me or not, I hope you find someone who suits you and helps you get to where you want and deserve to be.

Do not be daunted by the greater than sign. Just think of it like an equals sign.
Remember, the key is to get the 'x' on its own.
Collect the like terms as you normally would. As per convention, start with the 'x' terms. As they are both positive, take away the lower number from both sides.
8x – 7 > 6x + 12
8x – 6x – 7 > 6x – 6x + 12
2x – 7 > 12
Now, do the same with the numbers. As one number is negative, add this to both sides to cancel it out.
2x – 7 > 12
2x – 7 + 7 > 12 + 7
2x > 19
Now that you have all the x terms on one side and the number terms on the other side, you can sort this out.
Remember the 2x just means 2 multiplied by x. Thus, all you need to do is divide both sides by 2.
2x > 19
2 multiplied by x divided by 2 > 19 divided by 2
x > 19/2
x > 9.5

Eva S., Frankfurt
tatsächlich = actually
die Bedienung = waiter/waitress/table service
sich bei jmdm (+dat) beschweren = to complain to someone
The answer - C - The hotel was not as good as the writer had hoped
In the brochure/catalogue the hotel looked really pretty and we actually had a really pretty room with a sea view. However, the table service in the restaurant was bad and the food was often cold. We complained to the manager. Eva S., Frankfurt.
