About me

I graduated in Biochemistry from Imperial College London this summer and have now started a PhD in Molecular Biophysics at Imperial – I am definitely an enthusiastic scientist!

I have extensive experience in biochemical literature and research, for which I also spent 12 months at Stanford University, and I have been tutoring in London for four years.

I have extensive experience in biochemical literature and research, for which I also spent 12 months at Stanford University, and I have been tutoring in London for four years.

I followed the IB at the United World College USA after I was awarded the 2013 Italian National Committee Scholarship for academic and extracurricular excellence to attend the college.

My subjects were IB Maths, Chemistry, and Biology, all at higher level (HL), but since starting to tutor in the UK I have become familiar and successful at tutoring also for A levels and GCSEs.

Outside of work, I enjoy music and volunteering.

I think it is always important to briefly start a session by discussing the points of confusion and setting goals for what to understand by the end of the lesson. Once this is done, the whiteboard interface is perfect to break down concepts with lots of diagrams and illustrations. I also like to make sure the main concepts are repeated and consolidated throughout the class time.
