About me

Hi there! About me and my interests: I am a Cambridge University post-graduate student, having graduated in the summer of 2018, reading French (and Russian). I have always loved languages and the rich cultural beehives they represent. Within my degree my true passion is literature, and this is the reason I chose to study Russian from scratch two years ago. Experience: I am a warm, caring and patient person, who loves working with young people. My mum is Italian and so I have spent some of my...

My mum is Italian and so I have spent some of my childhood in Italy, where I have collaborated on various language exchanges. I spent 8 months in Paris teaching asylum seekers who needed to get to a solid level in the language in order to find employment. I have also spent time au-pairing in France and I have had various roles organising language teaching and learning, including my internship with Newcastle University's Foreign Language centre. The sessions: I would like the sessions to be as fun and focused as possible! Language learning involves many different skills and so firstly we will draw up a list of areas you would like to work on: grammar, speaking, writing etc. We will also look at what your exam board is asking of you for the subject and then take it from there. I welcome a friendly, but highly focussed approach. I encourage students to ask their questions and really delight in seeing them progress. I look forward to meeting you! :)

About my sessions

I like to work in a highly focussed manner, and, equally, to mark the sessions as productive, proactive and enjoyable as possible. It therefore seems essential to me to firstly discuss the exam syllabus, your objectives and your weaker points as these will be our priority to tackle.

I really want students to feel like they are able to ask any questions they have.

Sabrina was extremely kind, patient and Completely reliable. She guided my daughter through her A level French literature exam. The lessons were well planned, work was set and promptly marked. Above all Sabrina really encouraged my daughter: improving her confidence and stimulating her to focus on her exam technique. The end result was a fantastic 100% in this A level paper and a love of French literature. I thoroughly recommend Sabrina.
