About me

Currently I am an Oxford University Maths and Philosophy graduate, working as a Machine Learning Engineer in London. I have been interested in both Maths and Philosophy since high school. For me, the subjects are intellectually demanding, rigorous and exciting. Logical thinking runs through both of the subjects and is a highly valuable skill.

For me, the subjects are intellectually demanding, rigorous and exciting. Logical thinking runs through both of the subjects and is a highly valuable skill.

I have been on MyTutor for around two and a half years now and have tutored GCSE, A-level and IB Maths curricula. Also, I have 4 years of experience mentoring students applying to Maths and/or Philosophy at Oxbridge universities and a few months of experience working full-time at children summer camps.

I am confident and happy to teach any of the GCSE, A-level and IB (both SL and HL) Maths and Further Maths. Furthermore, I can help you with admissions to Oxbridge if you are applying to Maths and/or Philosophy (or a related subject), which includes help with your personal statement as well as preparation for the MAT test and interviews.

I hope I can pass both the interest and knowledge for the subject to my students. I try my best to be helpful and approachable so students can easily learn from me.

About my sessions

Before the sessions we will discuss which areas to concentrate on. Generally there are two types of lessons: revision, during which we go through exam-type questions and speak about how to solve them, common mistakes, exam tips and tricks as well as the style of writing; the second one is learning new material, where I make sure you have the required mathematical knowledge and I help you build up intuition by going through examples together with you. If I see that you have knowledge gaps, I will make sure to fill them in.

I believe practice is the key to understanding so I will always give you a few questions to think about in your free time.

During the sessions I encourage my students to think independently and experiment rather than rote learn so that they can tackle a wider range of problems and acquire transferable skills.

Excellent Tutor, a great help for MAT preparation. Non-hesitant to do extra work outside the lesson to help prepare, as well as explaining tough topics beautifully showing multiple different approaches to a problem. Thanks Tadas!

Highly recommend. Tadas helped my daughter with IB Maths , he was extremely organised, professional and caring. My daughter's confidence in her maths ability improved and she certainly benefitted from his concise and structured approach to maths. Very impressed all round. Thank you Tadas!
