Degree: BSc Politics and International Relations (Bachelors) - Exeter University
My name is Ed, I am currently studying BSc Politics and International Relations at the University of Exeter. I studied Geography, Politics and Economics at A level, and achieved A grades in each, but I also studied Geography at GCSE level, achieving an A* grade. However, over and above knowledge and resources, I believe the most important thing I can bring to a student is an interest in the subject- after all, this is what will motivate you to study hard for exams!
As for previous teaching experience, I am a qualifed sailing instructor, and have worked with people of ages ranging from 8 to 80- I am patient, and enjoy working with others to help them achieve their aims.
The content that we cover will largely be determined by you, based on previous results, as well as your own percieved understandings of subjects. I will however, test this knowledge at the end of each section to ensure everything has been covered.
When it comes to teaching, I believe in adopting a teaching style which incorporates a number of different types of learning, as this is the most effective way of committing things to memory! At the same time, the sessions should be fun and stimulating!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to send a 'WebMail', or book a 'Meet the Tutor' session. Remember to tell me your exam board and some of the things you might be struggling with.
I look forward to meeting you!
