Hello, I'm Laura.
I know how hard GCSEs and A Levels are and the stress they can cause. I also know how beneficial having a friendly undestanding person to help can be. For me, that was my sister. For you, I hope that can be me.
I'm a chemistry student from Durham University. I studied chemistry, biology and maths to A Level, gaining A* grades in all three. I gained excellent marks at GCSE, with 10 A* and 1 A grade. I spent countless hours of work to acheive this.
I am described as approachable, patient and a good explainer. I have previous tutoring experience throughout school. I work out how the best approach for getting the most out of the sessions. I hope you will gain in confidence and understanding.
Outside of academic work, I am captain of one of the college ultimate frisbee teams, teaching freshers how to play this new sport. I also have represented the university at national competitions. I volunteer for Durham Marrow, part of the Anthony Nolan Trust. Previously, I have been volunteer project leader for tea parties for the elderly project.
