About me

I am a second year medical student at Imperial College London. I enjoy medicine because it incorporates the Biology and Chemistry that i loved learning at school and combines it with a human and caring aspect, which is very unique. From my experience with A-Levels and GCSEs I have found that in order to achieve the best grades, sticking to the specification and doing practice questions are key! From my experience with A-Levels and GCSEs I have found that in order to achieve the best grades, sticking to the specification and doing practice questions are key! Paying attention in class and putting in extra time outside of lessons to get to the bottom of a concept go a very long way.

My hobbies outside of school are basketball and rowing (something i recently took up at uni). I also enjoy singing and listening to music, hence why I am a committed member of my university's gospel choir.

I want to tutor because I am someone who passionately believes that a sound education is fundamental to growth and development as an individual. I very much admire the work of teachers and the calibre of teaching that I have received throughout my educational life, and this is something I want to pass on to any willing students. It gives me joy to think that I can give back even a fraction of the precious gift of education that has been given to me. It is also very fulfilling to be able to be a beacon of help someone who wants support.

About my sessions

As a tutor I believe in self directed learning. I have the required resources for any topics that can be covered so the student tells me what they want to learn and I will cover that session. I am a strong believer in using past paper questions and mark schemes and Examiners reports to consolidate any weaknesses. I believe that directly addressing questions in the way your exam board wants you to do is key to securing the top marks in your A-Level exams. I will use the specification to guide...

I have retained my A-Level notes so will use those for detailed explanations and to break concepts down to the very fundamental idea which will hopefully allow the student to understand. I also use a few analogies as this is something that helped me when I was revising.

Was very clear and good for giving advice. Did research before he gave the advice which was great! He did not slack, his research was in real depth. I liked that he took it seriously and was quite reliable. Thank you!
