About me

I have always loved puzzles and problem solving, from crosswords to escape rooms, and the further up I have gone in maths and physics, the more I have realised that it is all really just solving puzzles. It can often be made overcomplicated and boring, but I'd like to show you that, as cheesy as it may sound, maths and physics can be fun.

I am studying for a Masters in Physics at Oxford, having achieved A*s in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics at A Level, as well as 11 A*s at GCSE, and so this puts me in the perfect position to teach maths and physics as well as to help with UCAS applications and the PAT. I 've spent the last two summers teaching sailing to children of a range of ages, and I have had practice in tutoring from helping my brother with his maths and physics A Levels.

In my free time I play the saxophone in several bands, play several sports such as tennis and sailing, and also enjoy taking part in plays.

About my sessions

The structure of my lessons will of course vary according to the student, as some students might just need practice with exam style questions, whereas others might need help learning more fundamental ideas. However, my lessons will usually follow a similar structure to my Oxford tutorials, in which I will guide them through a question which starts relatively easy, but then gets increasingly complex, until they are able to complete a question that they might have thought impossible at first gl...

However, my lessons will usually follow a similar structure to my Oxford tutorials, in which I will guide them through a question which starts relatively easy, but then gets increasingly complex, until they are able to complete a question that they might have thought impossible at first glance. I believe that testing your limits is the best way of finding your weaknesses.
