About me

Welcome to my page!

I graduated from Cambridge last year, and now, I’m researching how to design better Education policies. Private tutoring helped me ace my A-Levels, and that’s why I want to help you as well.

After graduating, I worked as a Course Director in Oxford; at the UN in Geneva; and in Istanbul, with a new Academy for people from developing countries. Before that, I developed education programmes for Jordan’s public schools, and delivered an entrepreneurship programme for young people in Tanzania.

To varying degrees, I’ve learnt Arabic, Turkish, French, Spanish, Swahili, Italian, Mandarin, and Sign Language. I was an Editor for 2 journals, and was awarded Top Writer status in 4 different topics on Medium. I’m pretty good at helping you to take what you want to write, and to express it in the best way possible.

I have a pretty unique teaching background. Understanding psychology helps me understand how to learn and remember better, and understanding languages helps me to teach English and French better. I’ve done a lot of research into what works and what doesn’t in Education, and you can bet I bring that into my lessons. I’m passionate about helping, so you can be sure I’ll give you 110% to help you be the best that you can be.

Go ahead and schedule a Meet My Tutor session, and we can have a chat about your goals.

About my sessions

In our sessions, I won’t just throw information at you, or tell you what worked for me.

I’ll show you how to love your subject, based on 3 years of studying the human brain.

I’ll take you through what works best in learning and memory, based on psychology, recent research, and my experience in teaching 100+ students from different backgrounds.

I’ll take you through what works best in learning and memory, based on psychology, recent research, and my experience in teaching 100+ students from different backgrounds.

Our sessions will be focused on you. I’ll use guided questions to help you to tease out things you weren’t aware you knew. I’ll give feedback on your work that helps you understand how to improve, not just tell you what’s right and what’s wrong. I’ll guide you through the right thought processes, that are unique to you alone, and that you can apply to understand everything – not just the subject we’re working with.

I’m very punctual and I give detailed feedback on work. I have creative ways of explaining concepts. Because I love these subjects myself, I enjoy teaching them.

In our sessions, we’ll discuss what works best for you in terms of learning, and we’ll work towards your personal goals. Whether it’s a B you want, an A, an A*, or a University offer, we’ll do our best to get you prepared for that.

At the end of the day, exams are strategic. But genuine learning is invaluable, and will benefit you for a lifetime. I like to have a balance of both.

Definitely the person who helped me the most to have my personal statement at an Oxbridge level. Very good and detailed advise, with lots of examples, especially regarding content and structure. She puts a lot of effort into giving honest and challenging feedback - I wish I could give 6 stars :)
