Hi, my name is Jonny and I have just graduated from Oxford university doing Theology and Religion. I love grappling with difficult ideas, writing essays and communicating well. Sometimes, what examiners are looking for in the humanities is a bit of extra 'edge' to make the student stand out. This is something I have particularly learned in my degree, where in our weekly essays our tutors would be looking for creative and engaging ways to argue and discuss ideas. With this in mind, I'd love help you to not only get to grips with the syllabus, but to help you draw upon wider ideas and really pinpoint the key ways to convince the reader, perform better and make an excellent essay.

I am also well equipped to help with maths up to GCSE level. Having done A level Maths, as well as AS Further Maths, and with existing experience in tutoring maths, I love subject, and in particular explaining some of the more difficult concepts. There's not much more satisfying than successfully solving a long maths equation!

These sessions will be totally tailored to whatever your needs are. Whether it's essay technique, understanding concepts, or how to read around the subject, I'll be on hand to discuss with you, feedback on any work you've done, and practice together the skills you need to do well. I'll also act as an extra eye to highlight other areas in which you may have the potential to improve, and we can work through those together. I am very passionate about the subjects I am offering, and no question is too simple or too hard. I can't wait to get started!
