In Philosophy, I loved learning about not only theories themselves, but also the philosophers that structured so much of how we think today. This is something I am continuing to enjoy, and as I build upon my knowledge, it is both beneficial and incredibly interesting to re-visit earlier years of study.

About my sessions

I offer focused tutoring that caters to where you feel are less confident, as well as building up the strengths you already have (wether you are aware or not) in either Philosophy or English Literature, so that you can feel ready for sitting your exams at GCSE or A-Level. Before sessions, I will ensure I know the correct specification and aims for each student, so that we can 'jump through the hoops' necessary, whilst working toward your personal goal.

For Philosophy, I offer tips and tricks like distinguishing between analysis and evaluation in essays, ways of remembering who-said-what, and general discussion that will help you work out how you feel about each theory - all of which will support you as you strive to attain your best. In Literature Tutorials, we can discuss one to one how you feel about significant plot points; a highly beneficial activity that you are often unable to do in a classroom. Alongside these constructive discussions, I offer focused analysis of key quotes, in depth character study and advice for how to structure your essay so that the examiner is on your side.

Of course, this is just a guideline, and if you feel you would benefit more from a particular style of revision, then I am more than happy to add and integrate with the learning experience you already have.
