About me

I am currently a first year undergraduate student at UCL studying Arts and Sciences, doing modules in Maths, STS and Philosophy. The course is especially appealing as it offers so much breadth and variety in the range of modules I can pick, and heavily pushes an agenda for interdisciplinary study.

About my sessions

My lessons are very dependent on the needs of the student. Typically, I will run though a new concept, or a complication/development of a previous idea, and then go through questions which explore and reinforce the integrity of the new idea. I have also gone back to the basic skills with students and worked with them to improve their speed or understanding of basic concepts, so they may more easily grasp newer aspects of their syllabus.

For students with a goal or goals in mind, I will do my best to help them reach their goal. I will be realistic but optimistic, as I never want to give false hope. It does nothing for a student's confidence if they fail to reach an unattainable goal, but I do believe it's important that students have an idea of what they want to achieve and some sort of plan to do so. Having goals can be a great motivator and reaching those goals can really make all the effort feel justified.
