About me

My name is Gabriela and I'm a 20-year-old Polish student, currently reading law at UCL. I chose to study this subject as I have always been fascinated in learning to understand why and how our society is the way it is. I believe that law is one of the key concepts in explaining social mechanisms. Law has been an essential part of every civilisation that we know of, looking back to prehistory. I believe that law is one of the key concepts in explaining social mechanisms. Law has been an essential part of every civilisation that we know of, looking back to prehistory. It dictates the norms and values of the society. Hence, I think it is one of the most important subjects in interpreting why the society operates the way it does. I am also passionate about human rights, which is also one of the reasons for my choice to study law. I am engaged in the activity of Amnesty International, which is a leading organisation involved in this field.

I would love to help my students improve because I think A Levels are open for everyone to succeed. The only issue is finding the right guidance. I was lucky enough to receive that from my own teachers, which helped me understand the importance of an accurate mentoring and how essential it is for an educational success. I have picked up a lot of my teachers' methods to prepare for the exams and I am more than happy to share them, among my very own ways to ace A Levels.

About my sessions

I did my A Levels only a year ago so my knowledge on how to approach their formula is very fresh. I am happy to say that I received very good grades - A*A*AA (History, History of Art, Sociology, Polish). I have also helped a couple of my friends from year below with their AS exams, which resulted in high grades.

I focused on showing them how to plan their essays step by step to demonstrate their knowledge, by basing it on evidence and explaining it through a sophisticated analysis. I have also remembered to concentrate on the easy but sometimes unclear exam rules which require a very specific approach.

I enjoy tutoring as all the subjects I did for my A Levels are fascinating to me. Hence, I like exposing others to the concept that studying these subjects is not just a necessity for the exams, but it can also become a free-time passion. Despite the fact that I have genuinely enjoyed studying the subjects I chose for my A Levels, I have a lot of patience and I understand if some modules just do not speak to some students. I am very flexible and I believe that different methods work for each person. That is why I am ready to approach each student in an individual manner. I believe that the key to A Levels is to find your very own ways to prepare for them and I am happy to help you with that.
