Computer Science is something that I’ve always enjoyed because it came easily to me. The process of solving problems and finding a working solution can be incredibly satisfying. I started learning to code and studying the subject in my first year of high school 9 years ago and have stuck with it ever since.

I am additionally a huge advocate for learning languages. I am fluent in French, as my mother is French, and confident in my abilities to speak German. As the world is becoming more and more interconnected, it is important to be able to communicate in different languages.

In my spare time, I go snowboarding or go to movies. I train with the snow sports club as part of the freestyle team, although I’m not very good at it.

About my sessions

I think it is important to tailor the lessons to the students learning style and their abilities. I will work hard to make sure my teaching meets the student's needs.

In my first session, I will go over the course syllabus and find out how the student feels about the course and what parts they are most concerned about. Then the rest of the session, will be spent asking questions to establish what prior knowledge the student has and what level they are at.

In the following sessions, I will spend the start reviewing what we had gone over in the previous session and going over any homework that I had set. I will make sure that any part of the course where the student feels challenged is covered in depth and that detailed feedback is given. At the end of each session, I will provide a small exercise as homework to consolidate what we have gone over in the previous session.

To track progress, I will prepare small quizzes with questions which are of a similar format to those found in the exams. This will help to see how well the student is doing in class as well as help them prepare for the final exam.
