I love working with numbers and later applying them in a real life situation. This has led to my passion for Maths and Economics.
I want my students to know that everything is achievable and given time and hard work they can and will achieve the grades they want. GCSE and A Level work is heavily based on 'practice makes perfect' and making sure you know how to apply your knowledge. Firstly, I will do a 'diagnostic' test to gain more of an understanding of what level the student is at and from there I will know whether a lesson on the topic as a whole is required or extra and more complex questions are needed.
I am an advocate for you can do whatever you put your mind to. Therefore, I will always give the student the chance to answer the question themselves before we start the lessons. I believe this will give them the confidence to know that they can do it, even without the help of the tutor.
I will give the student end of topic exams to ensure that they have aced the topic and can essentially do any question given to them because of the wide range of skills that they have acquired.
