Degree: Biochemistry (Bachelors) - Bristol University
Having always had an affinity for the sciences, beginning my degree in biochemistry has secured and greatly increased my understanding and command over both biology and chemistry. Throughout my education I have faced a varied range of exam styles, providing me with an equally varied selection of techniques which I feel would enable me to assist all students and help them to envision different ways to approach and tackle exam questions.
For me, the key to a science is full comprehension of the material, rather than simply factual recall, as this is the only way for a student to be prepared to tackle previously unseen questions, the likes of which will undeniably arise in an exam situation. This is what I aim to instil in students.
In the past I have taken part in a school programme in which I tutored a younger student in mathematics, and so I have experience of viewing problems from another’s perspective, and am aware that it is essential to be able to explain one concept in many ways, as all students are unique in their learning. I have also been studying French since I was eight, and so have a comprehensive knowledge of the language.
I am available weekday evenings, weekends and throughout holidays. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
