About me

I'm an ambitious young career researcher graduated from Imperial College London. I have been teaching in London and Plymouth for three years and I'm now expanding to private tutoring. I teach mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and programming (Python, Matlab, R). As a PhD research student, I have the flexibility with my time which allows me to teach during weekdays and weekends, both at nights and during the day.

I teach mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and programming (Python, Matlab, R). As a PhD research student, I have the flexibility with my time which allows me to teach during weekdays and weekends, both at nights and during the day.

My curiosity for others and their learning and my love for helping people has enabled me to connect with students, and to help them figure out the root cause of any challenges. Similarly, my enthusiasm for science and maths can be similarly helpful, for both weaker and stronger students.

I graduated in 2017 with an MSci from the department of Earth Science and Engineering. The course at Imperial involved a range of high-level maths, chemistry and physics, which I apply in my research on landscape evolution today in my PhD. I am educated by an International Baccalaureate program, where I completed Higher level maths, chemistry, biology and physics to excellent or full marks, earning my place at the prestigious Imperial College, whilst tutoring physics.

In my free time, I sail. I love reading books with philosophical ideas about society, and enjoy fiction too. I love helping my girlfriend by giving feedback on her psychology essays. I have a little sister who is twelve studying IB.

About my sessions

I would describe my teaching style as accessible and practical. In the Sciences, I pride myself on providing explanations that make the fundamental underlying principles clear. From there on, me and my students can build toward a more complex understanding. In Mathematics, this approach is the same, and practice is particularly important. If you can harness knowledge through understanding core principles, and practice applying that knowledge through exercise, you will feel much more confident...

I would describe my teaching style as accessible and practical. In the Sciences, I pride myself on providing explanations that make the fundamental underlying principles clear. From there on, me and my students can build toward a more complex understanding. In Mathematics, this approach is the same, and practice is particularly important. If you can harness knowledge through understanding core principles, and practice applying that knowledge through exercise, you will feel much more confident. Next to that, studying will become more efficient.

Typically, I will guide my lessons by the tests and exams that they are set, starting with the questions and exercises that they are expected to complete. This means I will prepare exercises, either made by me or preferably from the past or present exam papers. I will start the lesson by asking the student what they've been struggling with most, and will do exercises with them, running through gaps in theory and guiding their thinking process whilst making the exercises. This means my teaching and exercises are goal-oriented: enabling the student to feel confident in making exams and coursework, and helping them achieve excellence in doing this, whilst learning how to be efficient with their use of studying time.

I normally establish challenges to work on with the student before sessions, and prepare material to cover, leading to the best use of your time in lessons.
