About me

Hi there! I am a fourth-year chemical engineering student from the University of Bath. My favourite (and best performing!) subjects are maths, chemistry and physics. I am incredibly hands-on and enjoy practical methods of exploring solutions to problems. My curiosity has led me to become a member of STEM society, in which my achievements include building a programmable robot and a hover board, which I thoroughly enjoyed because I was developing my teamwork skills to produce fascinating pieces...

I am incredibly hands-on and enjoy practical methods of exploring solutions to problems. My curiosity has led me to become a member of STEM society, in which my achievements include building a programmable robot and a hover board, which I thoroughly enjoyed because I was developing my teamwork skills to produce fascinating pieces of work. I am highly motivated and I am always finding new skills to learn, for example I recently joined a Code First: Girls programme to learn various programming languages such as JavaScript and CSS and I am actively involved in sports such as badminton and karate.

About my sessions

I have found the best way to consolidate learning is to practice questions and past papers, as it is useful to get comfortable with the style of questions which will come up in the real exam as early as possible. I have found the best way to consolidate learning is to practice questions and past papers, as it is useful to get comfortable with the style of questions which will come up in the real exam as early as possible. I will tailor my lessons to the needs of my students and how best they learn. Generally, the structure off my lessons will be as follows: the first half will be dedicated to learning the theory using the specification-related content from my student’s exam board. The second half will be dedicated to practicing questions and going through previous papers, and to identify strengths and weaknesses in any areas. This will also help to monitor progress made throughout as time goes on. I will also try to teach key skills and ways of thinking which can help improve exam technique.
