About me

Hello everyone, I'm Dalia. I graduated with a BA at the University of Bristol in July, studying English Literature. I am now at the London School of Economics studying Anthropology and Development. My unique combination of subjects allows me to deliver quality tuition for both English Literature and Geography, the two subjects I specialise in on MyTutor.  My role as a tutor with MyTutorWeb for the past three years has given me invaluable experience. Tutoring is personal to me as I am fully dedicated to bringing out a student's highest potential in an encouraging environment. I will not only focus on subject content, but will also go over important subject-specific exam techniques such as time management and revision skills.  Below is a list of my aims for each subject:  English Literature:  I will encourage students to be able to closely read texts in order to derive main messages. One of my main focuses will be to improve essay structure and line of argument. I am aware of the key points exam boards look out for, and will strive to use these to highlight students' individual strengths. The analysis skills students will learn while writing about poetry or prose can also be applied to countless other subjects. I will assist students in developing a greater understanding and love of the importance of literature, which is inevitably closely bound with history. Geography: Here essay structure is also important. I will go over definitions, and will focus on integrating key words into students' answers, enhancing their geographical vocabulary. Both natural and human issues surrounding geography can be covered in detail, and students will be encouraged to use and learn multiple case studies (which I have an easy way of remembering).  I am happy to fully explore and fix any areas of weakness, and will bring to students' attention the contemporary nature of geographical issues.  French & Arabic: There are many things to look out for when learning a language; vocabuary, tenses and pronounciation being only a few. The individual skills of writing, listening, comprehension and speaking will be heavily and individually focused on. I believe the practice that tutoring offers is very valuable when studying languages.  If you're interested in tutorials, get in touch and we'll schedule a meet the tutor session. I'm flexible with timings. Hello everyone, I'm Dalia. I graduated with a BA at the University of Bristol in July, studying English Literature. I highly recommend Dalia as an extremely professional, considerate and effective tutor. She only started working with my son a month before his GCSEs. He had no love for the subject, has moderate dyslexia and failed his English mock exams. His aim was to gain a pass in order to enter the sixth form. We are delighted to see that his results are well beyond the required grade 4.

My son has found Dalia very helpful. She came highly recommended by his cousin and her considerate professional approach has boosted his confidence in tackling his English GCSE.

From the outset, Dalia has provided insightful teaching, accompanied by impressive detailed notes and annotated diagrams for further revision; whilst expertly guiding my shy daughter to hone in on the relevant topic aspects in answering sample exam questions; pitching her teaching approach appropriately. Dalia is most definitely invested in the subject progression of her students, including lesson preparation, which is specific to the relevant Exam Board. We feel so lucky we chanced upon Dalia's incredibly astute, intelligent and well organised tutoring skills....at the eleventh hour!
