About me

I am in my final year studying French at the University of Bristol. I have spent the previous year living in France and volunteering for a charity in the city of Grenoble. I am in my final year studying French at the University of Bristol. I have spent the previous year living in France and volunteering for a charity in the city of Grenoble. I have such a great love for languages and feel very passionate about both learning and teaching them. I have a lot of experience teaching as I led French clubs for Year 7 students and would go to the local primary schools to lead weekly French classes. I have also been a volunteer youth leader for the past two years, working with teenagers from school years 9 to 13. In order to help you develop your language skills, the sessions will be tailored to you as the student and what you feel you need to improve in. This could be the grammar and structure behind French or the more practical skill of having a debate in a foreign language. Ultimately, every little bit of practice will help you to grow as a linguist. Please do get in contact if you are interested in my tutoring or if you have any questions. I look forward to meeting you!

About my sessions

The key to learning a language is to practice as often as possible and to really immerse yourself in the language. Listening, reading, and speaking the language all help! I will tailor the session to the needs of the student. That may take the form of a debate in French or it might be that we discuss grammar points to help the student understand the finer points of the language. The most important thing is to enjoy the way that you are learning. I have plenty of brilliant French music and fun...

My daughter enjoyed the session and is quite happy to do another. A real achievement for a reluctant learner!
