I'm a recent graduate who is articulate, approachable and skilled in my subjects.
I chose to study disciplines in both the arts and sciences at university, and found their similarities and contradictions fascinating. Taking Politics allowed me to assess how governments work, both in UK and abroad. Conversely, I enjoyed the quantitative nature of Economics, where I analysed how human decisions affect business, trade and government on the macro and micro level.

I took Maths and English Literature at A-Level. I enjoyed studying Maths at school, and have found it integral to understanding Economics at university. I received full marks in my English Literature A-Level, and have taken modules in the subject at university.
Outside of tutoring, I'm looking to start a career in political journalism. I have written freelance pieces for national publications such as the Times, the Telegraph, and the New Statesman. I will be starting a masters course in Newspaper Journalism in September.
I believe that tutoring should be structured in a way that suits the student. With Maths, for instance, a student may learn best from a formal structure with a brief explanation of the operation followed by practice questions. With English Literature, however, a student might benefit from informal, discussion based learning. Both work well!
Before starting my sessions, we can talk about the way you learn best, and decide upon a tutoring plan that works effectively.

We only take tutor applications from candidates who are studying at the UK’s leading universities. Candidates who fulfil our grade criteria then pass to the interview stage, where a member of the MyTutor team will personally assess them for subject knowledge, communication skills and general tutoring approach. About 1 in 7 becomes a tutor on our site.
