Degree: Mathematics (Masters) - Queen's, Belfast University
I have experience tutoring students of all ages. At school I was a peer tutor, tutoring GCSE Mathematics, and I have also tutored students for the Transfer Examination.
I am a top performing student: 9A*s at GCSE; second highest score out of over 43,000 students in Edexcel A-Level Mathematics (599/600 marks) in 2013; recognised by the Royal Society of Chemistry for being the top female in Northern Ireland in A-Level Chemistry in 2013 and winner of the Porter Entrance Scholarship (awarded to the First Year student at Queen’s University, Belfast who attains the second highest marks overall at A-Level).
Examiners are more frequently asking questions which require application of knowledge. So students must understand the underlying methods used rather than simply memorising formulae. My aim is for the student to confidently complete any unforeseen problem, by thinking it logically through.
I am patient, listen carefully to students’ queries, explain solutions in a simple way and ensure full understanding. I hope to help students gain a greater understanding in order for them to achieve their full potential.
Don't hesitate in contacting me if you have any further questions.
