I have just completed a year of study at the University of Montreal, one of the highest ranked francophone institutions in the world. I have also done work experience in Paris and travelled frequently in France. This has all given me an advanced command of the French language which I can impart onto students, I am able to help with things such as grammar practice, written work, conversation practice and the preparation for presentation material for oral exams.
History of Art is the other half of my degree and I also studied it at A-level, completing the Cambridge Pre-U course. I have a broad knowledge of the subject, which I use to help students understand the historical and social contexts of artistic production, as well as key art movements and the technical vocabulary needed to talk about art.
I have a strong command of Spanish from my studies at GCSE and A-level and a module taken at university, as well as extensive travel in Spanish-speaking countries. I am able to offer help with grammar revision and oral exams.
For French and Spanish I am looking to give help with grammar revision, conversation practice for oral exams and written work. Being able to confidently apply important features of grammar such as verbs and tenses, as well as frequent practice to help ingrain the use of the language, will help students have the confidence they need to speak or write in the target language, accurately and naturally.

For History of Art I hope to help students develop their topical knowledge, helping them understand key concepts, with the aim of providing the necessary factual grounding for essay writing, as well as helping them understand the contexts of art so that they can confidently write about the required topics with the correct technical and academic language.
I aim to help students achieve their goals by being attentive to their needs, progression and goals. When meeting a new student I think it is important to understand their existing knowledge and attainment in the subject as well as what they want to achieve and by when, and use this information to formulate the best way to progress. Each student has their own pace and preferred methods of learning, so it's always important to tailor their learning experience to them as much as possible.
