I have had a strong passion for the sciences since early education. I loved learning about the human body and the intricate biological and chemical systems that underpin our complex physiology. This passion has developed into curiosity and an eagerness to teach!

I have a confident background in teaching through my involvement with numerous societies. In Glasgow Street Doctors, I regularly teach first aid and prevention of knife crime to young children in the community. In school, I was a senior teaching mentor for children with learning difficulties. This year I am president of the Glasgow University Cardiovascular Society, in which we organise numerous exam revision sessions and conferences for medical students and graduates.

Outside of academia, I am an avid reader, enthusiastic musician and I enjoy sports such as Muay Thai and regularly trips to the gym.

About my sessions

My teaching style is an interactive one that uses visual and context-based learning cues to improve long-term memory and recall. I believe that truly understanding a subject is far superior to simply memorising it for an exam, plus it helps inspire interest for further learning in the future.

Through a problem-based learning approach, the student will first explore their own ideas. This will not only give me an understand of their depth of knowledge, but it will allow the student to come up with their own questions for areas lacking in knowledge. We will then set learning points to address these topic before finally returning to establish memory and recall.
