Hi, my name is Sean and I am in my fourth year studying maths at Oxford. I have experience of tutoring online and in person and have worked with students of all levels and abilities. This has taught me the importance of being flexible; some students want to go through past papers to nail tricky A* questions, some want to go over lessons they missed or didn't get the first time at school, and others just want help understanding a particular topic. Whatever way you need help, I am here for you!
My time at school and at university has taught me the best way to succeed in exams, and I think the most important thing in maths is to understand why something works, rather than just memorising endless formulae. This is how I aim to approach my sessions; by trying to show the student the underlying reasons for doing something and the best way to approach a question rather than just following steps. I really enjoy taking people through an idea from start to finish, and always try to work with students to make sure they see why an idea is useful in maths.
I have experience tutoring students from year 9 to A2 level and have worked with various exam boards. If you'd like, message me to arrange a meet the tutor session. We can chat about your needs, what you want to get from the sessions and maybe go through a practice question together to get you started.
I am free most evenings and weekends, but may be able to do daytime sessions on arrangement. Hope to hear from you soon!

Incredibly helpful, and offered in-depth explanation as well as example questions of varying intensity.
