Degree: Economics (Bachelors) - Cambridge University
Having been a part of a Maths buddy scheme at school, from both the tutor and tutee perspective, I feel experienced enough to explain Mathematical problems (in many different ways if necessary) to tutees of all abilities and ages. I have two younger siblings both in their upper school years, who are constantly testing my ability to explain mathematical problems they have difficulty with.
I study Economics at Cambridge University which is a very mathematically intensive course, where I am constantly using the Maths I learned at A level and GCSE, so these topics remain fresh in my mind. (I took Edexcel Maths exams for GCSE and A-level). Being an economics student, I am also capable of explaining any Micro and Marco economic concepts in detail (I took AQA A-level economics).
In terms of non-academic skills, I am friendly and a good communicator. My aim would be to remove any stresses from potential tutees concerning their studies, as I know what it is like to be worried about concepts you can’t seem to get to grips with.
