About me

Hi! I'm an enthusiastic English student from Edinburgh university. As a budding writer and journalist, I hope to transfer my passion for the art of creative writing with all it's complexities, life lessons and masterful practitioners throughout history onto my students. I wholeheartedly believe through my experience that if a love for the story and its messages are inspired, then completing examinations, notes and essays come with ease and excitement, rather than potential dullness. I wholeheartedly believe through my experience that if a love for the story and its messages are inspired, then completing examinations, notes and essays come with ease and excitement, rather than potential dullness. Being part of the Creative Writing society and various Theatrical societies helps to contextualise my love for both disciplines, while also being key to make the educational social and fun. History has always been similarly enjoyed as multifaceted real life stories with its own set of intricate and compelling characters that are deeply interesting to pick apart and analyse.

About my sessions

I believe heavily in strict routine being the death of creativity and interest in the subject. I believe heavily in strict routine being the death of creativity and interest in the subject. I would structure the lessons based on the needs and issues that the specific student is having and be as informed and researched as possible to have the highest capability for improvisation and switching between the micro and macro aspects of the subject and its testing. A student's primary goal is to succeed academically in regards to the grade but I would hope that true success comes when a student is genuinely enthralled by the stories and messages on display and takes them on board, both fictional and non-fictional. After all, the author or playwright set down how he viewed the world in his certain context and believed that story should be shared with all. He most likely didn't intend his narrative to be dissected drearily and for the sake of meeting marking criteria. This is at my forefront, and with helpful visual aids, games, memory techniques, creative experiments and expressions, essay plans, character studies, and also necessary informal discussions about gut emotional reactions to certain texts and historic events, I hope to achieve this.
