About me

ey, my name is Adam and I'm a first year Physics student, at the University of Warwick. I understand first-hand how stressful exams can be in school ( I've been through a few myself), but in my opinion they don't need to be. I have found that with the right preparation and subject knowledge, exams no longer were a stressful nightmare, but an opportunity to convey hard work onto paper, showing the examiner how much you know.

Without the effort and dedication I put into my earlier years of study, I would have never been able to experience the fantastic learning opportunity that is University and all the great benefits that it comes with.

About my sessions

I strongly believe that with the right fundamental knowledge in the subject at hand, the rest of the syllabus follows. Throughout my time in private tutoring, as well as a student myself, I find that people often try and forcibly learn how to solve a problem without truly understanding what the problem means. For example, I will always aim to first teach what exactly is a quadratic equation and how to plot it, before we learn the methods of solving it - without the former, the latter becomes...

I strongly believe that with the right fundamental knowledge in the subject at hand, the rest of the syllabus follows. Throughout my time in private tutoring, as well as a student myself, I find that people often try and forcibly learn how to solve a problem without truly understanding what the problem means. For example, I will always aim to first teach what exactly is a quadratic equation and how to plot it, before we learn the methods of solving it - without the former, the latter becomes far more difficult.

My sessions will be broken up into two distinct parts:

In the first part, we will aim to learn a new discrete part of the syllabus while also quickly refreshing what we learned in the previous lesson.

In the second part, we will try apply our newly learnt skills by attempting past paper exam questions and focusing more closely on the particular things that may cause some difficulty.

Resources for the lessons will primarily be provided and uploaded by myself, unless help with a specific question (e.g. from school) is requested.
