Degree: Arabic & Middle East Studies (Bachelors) - Exeter University
I am a student at the University of Exeter and am here studying Arabic and Middle East Studies. I am very passionate about my field and am currently glad to be maintianing a first in it. My degree involves langauge, history, potics and economics. I did my IGCSEs and IB at an international school in Hong Kong, with my strongest subjects being English and History. With History, my specializations are 20th Century East Asia, India, Post-colonialism, Cold War and anything related to the Middle East.
I have taught English and Arabic to both native and non-native speakers in several countries, including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Egypt and Thailand, where I also gave advice on personal statement writing for UK & US unis. I am a certified teacher at Inlingua, one of the worlds largest langauge centers with 332 centers in 37 countries.
My tutoring sessions are geared towards being fun and engaging while at the same time rigourous and comprehensive. I have a keen sense for detail. I don't like letting knowledge 'fall through the cracks' so I am constantly checking for understanding! I have a very outgoing personality and feel communication is key in any student-teacher relationship so I always take care to fully understand what you require and whether or not you are getting that from me.
Whatever the subject you need help with, I aim to leave you fully confident about your exam prospects, there is no reason to let stress and anxiety to impact your performance.
I am available weekdays 8-10am and 3-8pm, I am free all day on weekends.
If you want someone who strives to understand your specific needs and has years of professional experience, then look no further!
