About me

I'm currently a student at Exeter university studying Psychology. Although I've long had interests in both the arts and the sciences, I feel that psychology (although in it's own right a science) bridges the gap- I love the scientific method and reliability of the subject but enjoy the invitation for creative thought involved in debating theories and ideas. The perfect mix of science and humanities!

Low attendance during sixth form due to ill health meant that I had to develop my independent study skills, and having consequently achieved 3 A*'s at A-Level, I appreciate the importance of work outside of college hours and how it can make the difference between grades.

About my sessions

I try to be receptive to each student; that is, to understand personal learning styles and tailor sessions so that learning is not only successful but hopefully enjoyable. Regular quizzes or set homeworks (depending on your agreement) will be important to assess progress and understand how the sessions may need to be adapted.

Really friendly and relatable, the tutoring was clear and Emily use examples from her own studies which was very helpful! I will book another tutor session as this one has cleared some things I didn't understand up for me
