Whilst most believe the field of Psychology to revolve around Freud, my degree in Psychology has given me expertise across a number of areas, from vision and attention, to inter-group dynamics, behavioural economics and even neuroscience. This is accompanied by a strong knowledge of statistics and research methods knowledge, as well as the ability to write coherently and concisely, something vital to all those taking exams. I want to be able to pass on my experiences from my degree, as well as A Levels in Maths and Economics, to YOU to help you succeed and thrive in all that you do.

Away from psychology, I am sport mad. I will watch almost any sport, regularly go to the gym, and am also a qualified cricket coach. These experiences have taken me to places around the globe, and even gave me the opportunity to carry the Olympic Torch in the lead up to London 2012!

Since graduating from my degree in Psychology, I have further specialised through a Masters in Sport Psychology, and now work as a researcher and consultant for an organisation delivering Performance Psychology interventions in business and sport. I hope to be able to use this hands on experience to inspire my tutees to achieve their potential and live happy and fulfilled lives.

About my sessions

I will make sure that my tutorials are challenging and fun, catering for your needs! Each tutorial will be broadly structured in the following manner:

- Start with a short discussion of what the student has done over the past week, and any questions that have come up on the back of the last session, or other work they've done

- A brief introduction to this weeks topic, getting the individual to map out what they already know, and clarifying any issues they may have

- Start with a short discussion of what the student has done over the past week, and any questions that have come up on the back of the last session, or other work they've done

- A brief introduction to this weeks topic, getting the individual to map out what they already know, and clarifying any issues they may have

- Highlight some possible exam questions, and work with the student to write up a model answer

- Some fun 'quiz-styled' games to recap what has been covered

- Discussion of preparation for the next tutorial, including setting of some mock exam questions, and a chat about what we will cover next week

This is a rather broad outline, and this will change depending on how the student likes to learn. We will plot progress by monitoring how well they are doing on quizzes and marks on mock exam questions.

Most importantly, each session will be fun, relaxed and informative, as this, I believe, is the most conducive environment to learning.
