Degree: English Language & Celtic Civilisation (Masters) - Glasgow University
I am a French student who has come to the University of Glasgow to study English Language and Celtic Civilisation, but I nevertheless want to help people learning my deliciously complicated mothertongue.
I have a Literary French Baccalaureate ; in French Literature I achieved a 15/20 and I have my Baccalaureate cum laude. I also was a student for three years in a classe préparatoire aux grandes écoles in Paris (a school to prepare for the exams of the top-tier schools in France), and I got a 16/20 in French Literature at the ENS exam. I am thus quite prepared to every kind of problems you could encounter when learning French, be it about the language in itself or about French Literature. I know the methods to write an essay in French, to explain a text in French (both written and oral), to learn French grammar and vocabulary if needed...
I gave some lessons in French to my little brother, who managed to have better marks in French since then, and also to one of my cousins of my age, who got good results at her own Baccalaureate.
I am available pretty much always, even though I would like to have some time to see my family back in France during the holidays (mainly for Christmas and in April), and of course some time left to work on my courses.
Do not hesitate to contact me, I would be glad to help and meet !
