Helloo!

My name is Shayaan and I’m a 2nd year Medical Student at Imperial College London.

I am an enthusiastic, hard-working student who is passionate about science (bio, chem, physics and maths) and how the world works around me with particular interest in the human body! I hope to help students improve, achiever top marks and inspire them to learn more.

I regularly teach my younger brothers science and love to see how they come to enjoy learning, pushing me to teach them things even beyond their level! Additionally, being a high achiever, I have constantly been helping my peers throughout their education and they have benefitted hugely, valuing my support and the way I explain things.

I’m grateful to have achieved highly at GCSE and A-level and I would like to share my insight and help others benefit from my expertise. I will focus on whatever students need help with right from the basics to the fine details. I am very structured when it comes to learning/teaching so I’d like to tailor teaching to the syllabus (with extra info too if I feel it will benefit). In general, I’d work with the student to improve their science right from understanding core concepts to fine-tuning exam answers.

Please do book a 15 mins meeting, I look forward to meeting you! :D

PS. Medicine Interviews practice and advice!

About my sessions

My sessions will be flexible and based around your needs, from understanding topics, practicing questions to going through new/revisiting old material. Having learnt from being tutored myself I will aim to create an environment where it will be easy to voice your opinions (I’d love to hear your thought process!) and to encourage you to ask questions and engage with the content at hand! I like to explain things in creative ways that stick in people's mind and make science interesting. Plus...

I like to explain things in creative ways that stick in people's mind and make science interesting. Plus I make things interactive & engaging and ask plenty of questions along the way to test understanding and help retain info! Happy to set homework too!

When science becomes formalised and quantitative, it can be daunting. I can help by simplifying and making it interesting. I will be patient and encouraging to students + challenging those who would like to be pushed.

GCSE/A-level

With thorough knowledge of the syllabus and difficult areas, I will prepare tutorials for exactly what students require help with.

Medicine, Personal Statement, UKCAT, BMAT

As a gap year Med student who has gone through UCAS twice, I’ve learnt exactly what Universities are looking for and I will provide excellent, up-to-date support especially with PS.

I’ve also achieved top decile scores in UKCAT&BMAT (twice) so I can give the best tips for both!
