About me

I am a mathematics student currently second year studying at Bristol University. I enthusiastic about my subject and am keen use my expertise to pass on my knowledge to those who need help. As a tutor I would be sure to focus on what my tutee wants to get out of each session and try to provide as bespoke a service as possible that being that I could help those acheive those ever sought-after top grades as well as those who are really struggling with the subject.

A bit about me, I am 20 years old and come from East Devon where I went to secondary school and sixth form. Some of my favourite pastimes are playing various instruments, going to concerts, camping and backpacking.

In my A-Levels I achieved: A*A*A in Maths, Physics and Chemistry respectively and at GCSE I attained 9 A*’s, 1 A and 1 B. During my time in sixth form I assisted teaching year 9’s chemistry and top set year 11s in GCSE maths. I also helped year 7’s who had reading difficulties throughout this period. As well as teaching those younger than me I have always been teaching to, and learning from my peers which has built up and improved my skills at explaining many types of problems to others.

In 2012 I did a week of work experience at Atass Sparx, a company who was developing an iPad app to teach GCSE maths in schools. This experience gave me a very useful insight into how people learn maths and different ways to explain problems.

I believe that my expertise in mathematics and experience in teaching has provided me with extremely useful, refined and relevant skills for tutoring.

Please feel free to drop me an email if you are interested or have any questions, and I’ll be sure to get back to you as soon as possible. I look forward to working with you!
