Degree: Chemistry (Bachelors) - Manchester University
After spending last academic year working as a science intervention officer at a high school I decided that a career in teaching is my vocation. The job involved heavy involvement with ISA tutorials and moderation as well as running group and individual tutoring with individuals and small groups. I also ran after school revision sessions for groups which peaked at 180 students.
Currently I am applying to be a scout leader having spent the last 15 years in the association; and aiding in the teaching and training of scouts for the past 4 years.
I studied the three sciences and maths at A level and have experience with Edexcel, OCR and AQA syllabi personally.
Now that I have started my degree I can no longer remain in the employment of at a school working full time. I would like to continue teaching academically in a worthwhile and relevant way as it is something I enjoy and find the experience invaluable.
