About me

Thanks for checking out my profile! Thanks for checking out my profile. When looking for a tutor, I understand that you want to find somebody who is both qualified and experienced. The truth is that tutors can write anything they want in this section, however I'm going to provide you with evidence of my qualifications. Please note: I do not put a time limit on free meetings Why am I qualified to tutor you in Maths? When looking for a maths tutor on this website, be sure to consider the following of the candidates: 1) Are they studying a maths degree and on track to get a First? Did they do maths and further maths at A level? 2) How many tutorials have they done? How many reviews do they have (especially written reviews)? I studied maths and further maths at Cambridge Pre-U level where I achieved the equivalent of above an A* and an A at A-Level respectively and am in my third and final year of my Maths degree at Bristol University. As you can see on my profile I have over 150 five star reviews along with a rich variety of written praise from parents and students alike and have tutored over 900 hours on this website alone. Why am I qualified to tutor you in Spanish? In general, the more languages somebody speaks, the better informed they are about the language-acquisition process. Strangely, there are people who teach foreign languages who have not even attempted to learn other languages. In my opinion, those who claim to be able to teach a second language should be masters of learning foreign languages. I am studying "Spanish for business purposes" alongside 4th year Spanish students and have achieved above First Class marks in University Spanish modules throughout the past two years. I also achieved A*s at both A level and GCSE Spanish. I'm currently learning both Russian and Italian and plan to relocate to Russia upon graduation. I fully expect to achieve the top marks in my year group on the Russian ab initio course I am doing at my University. I plan to begin learning either French or Mandarin in the fall of 2017. My approach to tutoring I take a very hands on approach to tutoring. The reality is that to achieve the highest levels of success in the academic arena, one must have a deep understanding of the underlying concepts being examined. I will make sure that you know you need to know and beyond, so do not expect sessions with me to be easy - I will push you to make sure you achieve the best you can. I can accommodate students looking to do daily, weekly or fortnightly sessions - flexibility is guaranteed. Whether it's weekly tutoring sessions or revision sessions, I am happy to be flexible around what works for my students. If you're interested, send me a meet the tutor request and I will respond very quickly. I tend to get rapidly booked up which means that I place significant importance on punctuality and quick responses to messages and queries. If you message me I will almost certainly respond within a couple of hours. Before booking a tutorial or a meet the tutor session, please could you give me a brief introduction to yourself including what level you're studying at and what your goals are. Thanks for checking out my profile! Chris was amazing! He was extremely supportive and patient with all the things I struggled with. His commitment and care in providing the best resources were very useful. Overall, he helped me so much that he raised my predicated grade of a 6 (a B) to an 8 (an A*)!

Chris has been an amazing tutor for Imran. Chris tailors his tutoring sessions based on his emotional intelligence (mood, workload, and the level of difficulty). Chris has a wonderful way of engaging Imran and making him feel confident and encouraged to do more. Chris has truly been an inspiration for Imran. Chris, thank you so much for supporting Imran through his studies. I wish you all the best as you embark on your work life after university. Warmest Regards, Kavita
