There is opportunities to learn about and be involved in the newest research relevant to my lectures, which is so interesting seeing how my degree relates to everyday life. Taking exams used to be a very stressful experience for me through GCSE's and A-levels but now due to experience and a different mindset I have found a methodical approach to staying calm during exam seasons, which inevitably provides better results. I hope to help my students improve from providing personalised advice coming from someone who is young enough to be relatable to current students.

About my sessions

During the free consultation I will ensure all relevant information has been gathered so I can deliver an appropriate session for the student. This information will include: the exam board, current working at grade, and the students wishes for the session(s). Also if you are unfamiliar with the website I will be more than happy to give you a virtual tour of the lesson space and explain how the lessons work.

I am available for one off sessions, occasional sessions as and when needed, or regular sessions on a weekly/biweekly basis. During the sessions I am willing to prepare for a variety content to ensure the student has the best experience with tutoring, this could be achieved with: current classwork/homework, past paper questions and mark schemes, general enquires and exam tips etc... If the student wishes to receive regular tutoring, at the end of each session we can discuss whether setting work in between sessions would be beneficial for the student. With regular students I will also keep a spreadsheet of content we have covered and an overview of their understanding of the subject.

I believe to encourage learning a good tutor needs to be able to adapt to the students needs, and focus on being able to change content if you can see the student is not being challenged.
