I graduated from Lancaster University with a first class master's in Maths two years ago, and I've been teaching here ever since. Hi! My name is Callum and I'm a PhD student of Maths and former demonstrator at the University of Lincoln. I graduated from Lancaster University with a first class master's in Maths two years ago, and I've been teaching here ever since. It's been my ambition for a long time to be a lecturer, and so I'm putting in as much effort as I can to keep refining my teaching technique to deliver the best quality of tutoring to my students. I've been passionate about maths for as long as I can remember, and I think that my enthusiasm really shines through in lessons. It's very gratifying to inspire students and challenge them to be as good as they can be.

To help you improve, I think it's vital to first get an idea of the level you're already working at. If you decide to schedule a free 15-minute session with me we can talk about specific topics that need work, exam board, target grade, and anything else that might help. The important thing is that we can develop a tailored plan on how to proceed together. I prepare all lessons in advance and structure them to challenge any weaknesses - working with you to iron them out every step of the way. To keep track of how you're doing, I'll often utilize practice exam papers to give you a better idea of the real thing and to make sure that we're ready to begin new topics. I'll go over any questions you got wrong in detail, of course, and try to give you an insight into what the person marking your paper is thinking.

Approaching Questions: Sometimes questions look scary, especially in exams and especially when they're not what you expected. I'll help you in your general approach to maths questions, and the thought processes that should be going through your mind as you tackle them.

Exam Technique: I'm more than happy to run through past papers (or specific questions) with you to help you tighten up your exam technique. I'll offer my years of exam experience to help you face even the trickiest of papers, and leave you feeling calm and confident when it comes to crunch time.

Callum has just tutored my Son Charlie for his A Level maths exam. We can't recommend him highly enough. His sessions have been relaxed, informative, appropriately targeted and tailored to Charlie's needs. I think there is great benefit in teens having a tutor of similar age - it seems to work better. I would not hesitate to recommend Callum to anyone considering this route.
