I have also achieved an IDTA Performer's Award for Musical Theatre with Honours as well as numerous dance and drama certificates to very high standards.

I have previously worked as a mentor at my secondary school helping younger students to achieve their goals and predictions in all subjects. This was very successful, and my mentees have continued to grow academically as well as gaining confidence, people skills, and other attributes that will aid them for many years to come.

I am very passionate about my subjects and learning in general - I believe knowledge is a wonderful gift! I love helping people and seeing them grow in confidence and ability which is why I give as much support as needed to all my students. I have a blog/website already dedicated to the growth and wellbeing of students and adults alike, and I love to hear new testimonies and stories of how people have achieved their goals and their potential. I am always happy to listen and respond to any problems, and I always give as much support and advice to all my students as needed.

I often start with the basics as I believe it's important to have a strong foundation to build new knowledge upon. Once this has been established, I often ask my students where they are struggling and which areas they would like to focus on. I will ask this in advance of the session, and prepare for it using questions, worksheets and examples. Once my student seems comfortable with the topic, I will move them on to test or essay questions and mark them accordingly to find further points for improvement.

I will track progress through the marks achieved on practice questions and essays, as well as the students’ own feedback elsewhere. I think that it is important to encourage learning through a reward system, and I would urge parents to consider this. I also try to make my sessions fun by including games and fun worksheets (such as crosswords, word searches, etc) so that my students find interest in subjects they may find boring or difficult.

I will help students achieve their goals through tracking their progress, listening to what they want to focus on, and encouraging them when they may be finding it hard. I will always listen to them and I am willing to spend as much time going through hard concepts as needed, so that my students can really understand what they need to for their exams
