Hello! I am currently studying for a BSc degree in International Relations and History at the London School of Economics and Political Science. My interests and most of my current focus is on international affairs and on both domestic and international 20th century history. I'm passionate about these subjects because of thier continuing relevance in today's global climate, but I am also interested in other areas such as Maths, Spanish and Music. My free time at university is usually spent taking part in Music Society events or increasing my knowledge in one of the two former subjects.

My experience of both the British and the international education system has given me a variety of perspectives from which to draw both my academic knowledge and teaching skills. I know from experience that taking exams and applying for university is not easy, but it is possible with the right support and I aim to give that too all students regardless of the level or type of help they require.

About my sessions

I aim to create a supportive learning environment for students, where their education is well structured and organised but also entertaining and engaging, encouraging pupils to achieve their full potential. I don't want tutorials to become like a lecture, so I encourage contributions from the student in order to develop critical thinking skills and help with articulation of arguments, both skills which help them beyond the classroom.

In my experience, it is easiest for a student to learn when they are doing a certain amount of independent study. However, I appreciate that this is difficult at first and I am willing to spend time helping the student understand how they best learn. I am happy to adapt the resources and approach taken in order to best fit the needs and the learning style of the individual. When I was preparing for my exams, I found that developing skills which could be used across all my subjects was particularly useful, so as well as offering students help with specific topics I aim to give them general exam advice and tips on improving their study skills.
