About me

Hi!

Physics, Maths and the sciences can be hard at the best of times. Having a good teacher is everything! I have been lucky enough in the past to have had amazing teachers that have encouraged, inspired and pushed me to meet my huge standards for my education.

I plan on making YOUR experience just as impressive! The methods that helped my A-level grades reach 4A*s are exactly the methods that I'll use to teach my tutees.

I study Aeronautics and Astronautics with Spacecraft Engineering at the university of Southampton as it is an awe inspiring and rigorous subject that enables me to not only apply the in-depth problem solving skills I've acquired over my many years, but also be inspired by the brightest minds working towards a brighter future! A future where humanity is exploring the stars on precision engineered marvels of rocketry is something I'm drawn too, so to be a part of that designing process would be an honour!

I am a passionate, charismatic and extroverted speaker, but I care deeply about those I invest time in, so it a genuine pleasure of mine to build rapports with students and ultimately see them smash their goals!

About my sessions

No-one learns from a teacher that rambles, but doesn't actually teach you how to apply anything whatsoever! As a result, I plan on being concise as possible and teaching my tutee's how to apply the topic talked about to whatever exam they are taking.

Applying the topic to questions that the tutee will be likely to face will be the focus of the session, as people often learn best by doing the subject themselves. I am adaptable though! If someone learns best through diagrams and a...

If someone learns best through diagrams and a through listening to someone to talk about the subject, I am more than happy to take a different approach!

My lesson structure would be as follows:

=======================================================================================

- Quick assessment of understanding and/ or summary of last topic (verbal questions, 5-10 minutes)

- Concise and clear summary of the topic being talked about (10-15 mins)

- Worked examples of REAL questions (15-20 minutes)

- Tutee's attempting to answer questions, structure and advice given by me at all times (10-15 minutes)

- Quick summary (>5 minutes)

All times will vary depending on the subject and tutee.

=======================================================================================

I will prepare all useful worked examples and questions before the session begins!

Without Sam's help I wouldn't have received double Distinction in A-Level Physics. Thank you!
