About me

Physics is all about answering the big questions and uncovering the workings of our universe. For me, that makes it one of the most exciting subjects to study and I want to share my passion for it. In particular, I find particle physics absolutely fascinating.

Maths is an incredibly useful tool for the study of physics and as such I have a strong background in it. For A-levels I took Maths, Further Maths and Physics, securing A*s in all three, and my knowledge of the subjects has only grown through my university education. I also took the PAT for my university application (the Physics Aptitude Test required by Oxford).

Outside of school, I participated in many physics competitions and courses. I achieved a gold in the British Physics Olympiad and spent a month researching in the Weizmann Institute in Israel, one of the leading graduate institutions in the world.

Outside of physics I really enjoy music and am a member of the viola section in many of the university orchestras. Music has given me the opportunity to meet loads of people from around the country to play some amazing music. I am also a keen participant of the ALTS alternative ice hockey society in university (something I would recommend everyone has a go at!).

I'm really excited to be a tutor here and look forward to speaking to you soon!

About my sessions

Tutoring is a great way to get to grips with a subject or topic you're struggling with. It's also an amazing way to be stretched beyond the syllabus and to gain a deeper understanding of the material in a different learning environment.

I've always believed analogies were a key part of understand physics and so to these tutoring sessions I'll be bringing a new way of thinking about certain topics, lots of practice and detailed explanations of anything that you want to go...

Tutoring is a great way to get to grips with a subject or topic you're struggling with. It's also an amazing way to be stretched beyond the syllabus and to gain a deeper understanding of the material in a different learning environment.

I've always believed analogies were a key part of understand physics and so to these tutoring sessions I'll be bringing a new way of thinking about certain topics, lots of practice and detailed explanations of anything that you want to go over. Of course, everyone is different, and so each tutoring experience will be different, suited to fit your style of learning. These sessions can go on for as long as you like, from sessions continuing throughout the year to just some extra help in the run up to exams.

I'm here to help with maths and physics. I secured A*s at A-Level in AQA Physics and OCR MEI Maths and Further Maths taking 14 modules including S1-2, M1-3, D1-2 and DE.

Before beginning any sessions I'll lay out a plan for what you hope to achieve in the tutorials and every few weeks we'll check we're still on track. As everyone has different areas that come naturally and some that are harder to get your head around, the initial plan is bound to change through the course of the sessions but this is something that we'll speak about.

All I'd ask is that you come to the sessions having questions we can discuss and we can take it from there.
