This year I graduated from University of St Andrews, majoring in Neuroscience, and am currently studying towards Masters degree in Clinical Neuroscience at UCL. Upcoming September I will be starting Graduate Entry Medicine at Cambridge University. I am originally from Croatia, but I attended international school in Slovenia where I completed my IB diploma program. One of my passions since very early age is working with people. In elementary school, I volunteered in Military Hospital and also helped my peers after school with their homework and projects. As the years went by my love for spreading the knowledge, helping people and working with people was constantly growing. To express that love I started working as home carer, support worker, learning disabilities tutor and IB, elementary school, GMAT tutor alongside my studies. I managed to keep my grades very high, but also help other people achieve high grades and be very successful in their fields. I would love to keep spreading my love for science and help people achieve high scores, but also show them how much fun studying can be and hopefully make studying and classes with me something that they will look forward to.

About my sessions

Depending on student/parent preference and how often classes would take place, I would initially make one big plan relaying on syllabus. Furthermore, I would prepare each class in advance, starting with a short review of previous class and going over any questions that were left unexplained. When certain that the child has understood material that was already explained I would start with the new topic. The first part would include me going over any principles/laws/formulas and sharing them with the student. Then by interacting with student and incorporating as much of previous knowledge I would explain the topic, and ask student if he/she has any questions for me. Finally, I would test the understanding of the newly explained topic and ask student some questions and ask him/her to work over a few problems. I would finish off my class with few homework questions.

Stasa is a great teacher because she has all the elements needed for a good study session. She is very good at maintaining a focused atmosphere while making it light and enjoyable for us. She's also very knowledgable and resourceful. She's patient and willing to accommodate for her students as well. I always found new ways to explore a concept with her using analogies or visual representations to learn better, and it helped a lot in remembering for later. She also has experience with IB and a very good idea how to approach the paper or I.A. I enjoyed her teaching as well as her company, a great deal.

Stasa always makes the lessons fun and interesting. I am now, in fact, enjoying learning about chemistry!

Stasa is not only competent and knowledgeable about her subject, she is also a pleasant person and my daughter enjoys talking to her. She keeps her interest alive, and that is a big qualification for any teacher / tutor
