Hello!

My name is Molly, and I am an Exeter University 1st Class Graduate (having studied English and French), and currently a Master's Student at Middlesex University reading Literary and Audiovisual Translation, which means translating books and films.

Both of my parents are teachers, so I have always been in an environment of people who love to learn and teach.

During my year abroad, I worked in Normandy as an activity instructor. There, my job was to teach French to English school children from ages 9-18 in fun and active ways. From this experience, I understood that each child needs to have things explained in unique ways to suit their brain. I became adaptable and learnt many different techniques of teaching.

Furthermore, my mother is French, and she is a French tutor, and I have learnt many skills and methods of teaching through her. I know that the school system can sometimes stifle the individual, and some children struggle with the rigidity of boards and exam papers. I want to help these children understand the mark schemes better, and feel confident to answer the questions, without feeling panicked or overwhelmed.

Please contact me for a free video meeting, I would love to meet you and help you ace your English or French GCSE!

About my sessions

For our lesson, I will have prepared a past paper, having consulted the mark scheme in detail. During the lesson, we will run through the paper together, helping the student to understand what the question is asking of them, and then they will attempt the question. We will then go over it together and compare it to the mark scheme to see how they could have gained full marks. But I will always have work for them prepared If they just need extra exam practise.

Alternatively, I am happy to prepare students just for specific parts of the exam. I am very flexible, easy-going and patient.

Molly is honestly the BEST TUTOR you could ask for. Throughout, the whole of year 10/11 I was on 3s(Ds) and this really got me down. So my Mum and I started looking for some English tutors then, we saw Molly's profile and her reviews (which were fantastic) . I was really struggling with Macbeth and Molly made me really enjoy at the end! Not only is she incredible teacher but also a great friend always asks how you are and really puts in the time and effort to accommodate your needs and what your struggling with. Molly really helps you memorise plot/quotes/context so, if you struggle revising and remembering key information then you need to book some lessons with Molly because she will always test you so the information stays in your head. For me, I was mainly struggling writing essays, I was really stressed about this as I knew that this is a key skill to English Literature. But, Molly helped me write a paragraph so I could see how it should be done then, I followed this structure and practiced with past papers that Molly gave me . She always gave amazing honest feedback and really motivated me to keep practicing the essays and believe me her advice and her teaching honestly pays off I went from a 3 in English Literature to a 7(A)!! 4 GRADES UP . Believe me, I really felt like giving up and thought I was going to fail but, Molly really boosted my confidence and helped me have a positive mindset which is so important. She always gives you exam tips which helped me so much especially, as i got so nervous before exams. I cant thank Molly enough she is so talented at what she does and even made me enjoy English Literature so much, i am now doing at A level! Go book yourself some lessons with Molly because i am telling you now you wont find anyone else like her . She is so inspiring and i hope i can be like Molly one day teaching others English! Eden

Molly turned around my approach to English language and literature gcse in just 4 weeks. I approached the exam with confidence and with a clear understanding of how to answer the questions.
