Having studied A Level History, French and Music -I understand the importance of hard work and commitment in order to achieve your absolute best in exams. I want to help students reach their absolute potential and stretch students so that they believe that they themselves can achieve the grade that they desire. Every student is different so I adapt each lesson to the student's individual needs and learning style in order for them to reach their goals. I hope that students come away from tutorials feeling like that have accomplished something, rather than them feeling isolated or daunted by the work that has been covered. I am very flexible with my availability and would work with students to help find a time which is convenient for all.

If you have any questions whatsoever, please do not hesitate to arrange a free video meeting to discuss any queries you may have.

Thank you.

About my sessions

The aim of tutorials is to help each student so each session would be tailored to the student by addressing their needs. The aim of tutorials is to help each student so each session would be tailored to the student by addressing their needs. To start each lesson, I encourage recapping the last tutorial so that any issues can be fixed. Then, I would move onto to the aim of the lesson- each lesson is structured differently depending on the objective of the lesson. For example, if the purpose of the tutorials is exam technique- I would encourage students to prepare an essay for the lesson or an essay plan which we would self-assess so that the student can see how they could improve- in order to put this into practice, we would then plan another exam question together in order to lay the foundations for a really strong exam response. On the other hand, if the objective of the student was to improve understanding of content, I would provide handouts information and use different methods, such as essay plans, mind maps, flow charts, flash cards and discussion and debates in order to help the student grasp the content. Tutorials should be fun and engaging not boring and repetitive. With regards to progress, I want each student to achieve their own personal goals, therefore, I encourage students to think of a long term goal and 3 short term goals so that their progress is more recognisable and more rewarding
