About me

I have always been an open minded and curious person who loved to travel around the world and discover about new cultures, tradition and learn about the beauty of diversity. Indeed, as I am studying medicine and I will be working with patients I believe that it is crucial for a doctor to be knowledgeable regarding other cultures.

I am myself multicultural. Indeed, I was born and raised in Italy but I am originally from Iran. Thus, I am mother tongue in both Italian and Iranian (Farsi) languages. Moreover, since I have studied in an International School I also learnt Spanish to a limited professional level.

Generally, I am a very motivated and hard worker person and I love to set myself very high objectives in my life and do everything I can to reach those objectives

When I am not tutoring or studying for my medicine course I mostly stay outdoors with my friends, listen to music, go to the cinema, museums, parks and gym. I prefer keeping myself busy rather than just sitting at home.

About my sessions

First of all, I personally believe that an interest towards a subject or a particular topic is essential for the student to properly learn it. Indeed, in my opinion it is the teacher's duty to make the student develop and nourish that interest and make him/her enjoy the subject.

Secondly, it is essential for the teacher to be able to explain the subject or topic in simple and clear terms which meets the level of understanding of the student.

Moreover, I usually try to understand which learning/studying method the student uses and which one may be the most appropriate for him or her.

One of the most important aspects for me is developing an understanding in student for the subject and the reasons why he or she is studying that particular topic.

I always try to follow the learning objectives if present for that particular subject and cover all the past papers.

In particular cases such as BMAT or IB exams preparation I believe it is essential for the student to t understand the best technique to use to answer the question and the style of those questions.

Teresa Parent from London Lesson review 6 Nov '18, 18:00

6 Nov, 2018

Arian is simply a great tutor he explains each topic in simple terms and help build your knowledge and understanding from the ground up. Personally he helped me with chemistry HL and i can honestly say that he is even better than my chemistry teacher, though take that with a grain of salt since my chemistry teacher was very bad. To conclude i would highly recommend Arian to anyone who wishes to do well in chemistry.

He explained the topic in very simple terms and helped build my knowledge with a solid foundation first before getting into harder parts of the topic.

Tara Parent from Cobham Lesson review 12 May '18, 14:00

Really good tutor. Helped me to understand IB Chemistry questions, I previously found very confusing. He will take more than the allocated time to ensure you have fully understood all parts to the question before ending the session. Would defiantly recommend him.

Questions Arian has answered

Describe the genetic code and its relationship to polypeptides and proteins. (5 points) (PAPER 2 QUESTION BIOLOGY SL)

Sequential answer: 1. What is the genetic code? sets of 3 nucleotides/sets of bases which are called codons (1 point). 2. Which are the bases? bases include adenine, guanine, cytosine and thymine in DNA / adenine (1 point) 3. Link between genetic code and polypeptides? Each codon codes for 1 amino acid (1 point) and each gene codes for a polypeptide (1 point). 4. Process of polypeptide production? Each codon is transcribed into mRNA by base-pair matching/complementary base. (1 point) The Mrna is then transcribed into a sequence of amino acids. (1 point)Sequential answer: 1.
