About me

I am a 21 year old Economics and Politics student with advanced proficiency in French in my third year of university. Having had a gap year, I spent a large amount of time tutoring other GCSE and A level students which means that I have a lot of experience with multiple types of learners.

I love learning and evolving so I think that being a tutor is the perfect role for me. I worked extremely hard for my A-levels and obtained A*AA in Economics, Maths and French respectively. Also, as I...

I love learning and evolving so I think that being a tutor is the perfect role for me. I worked extremely hard for my A-levels and obtained A*AA in Economics, Maths and French respectively. Also, as I am recently out of the exam cycle, I know how it feels to want to do well and am therefore very keen to help other students to do so. I achieved 9A*s, an A and a B at GCSE. I loved studying for these as there were so many different things to learn and ways of doing so. I think that, as no two individuals learn in the same way, it is important to adapt teaching techniques to suit the individual to achieve success. I aim to implement this into my sessions to suit the varying academic needs which is something I really enjoy.

I achieved a high first in my first and second years of university and am keen to help others who which to excel in their field of study.

Economics, Politics, Maths and French are of great interest to me due to the complexity and intricacy of each of the individual topics. Economics and Politics tie in well together as they are both extremely relevant and central to the society in which we live today.

I am to tailor my sessions to suit the individual learning requirements of each students given that everyone learns in a different way. I will aim to find methods of teaching that best enables the student to learn and understand the current topic and avoid any misunderstandings or misconceptions. I am also always open to questions and will be always available via email if there are any queries about the session.

In the session, I will first of all start by asking whether there are any questions about anything they had come across in the previous week. I will then move onto the next topic and aim to explain it thoroughly and then put it into a relative perspective that aims to link into day to day life so that it is relatable and more easily understood. I will then answer any questions relevant to the topic and have a conversation about everything that we have gone through. I will also try and illustrate the topic on the whiteboard to make it more visual as well as just learning by hearing.
