About me

The historiographical debate within history as a discipline is simply fascinating. Not simply because of the amount of groundbreaking work published every year by scholars and historians but because those who study history have a chance to influence this debate. As your skills develop you will start to influence history and memory, and as consequence, you begin to shape the way in which historical periods and events are perceived by the masses. Not simply because of the amount of groundbreaking work published every year by scholars and historians but because those who study history have a chance to influence this debate. As your skills develop you will start to influence history and memory, and as consequence, you begin to shape the way in which historical periods and events are perceived by the masses. This is an immense power which comes with equally profound responsibility. It is this power that drives me to be the best historian I possibly can be.

My passion is continuously reflected through my tutelage; as I want nothing more than to see young minds with boundless potential showcase their abilities and gain the recognition and reward they deserve.

About my sessions

The way in which I teach my lessons can be easily broken down into stages.

Stage 1: At the beginning, I will ask for a piece of written work about any historical period, perhaps an essay from school. From this, I will analyze the students' skills and take note of what may need to be improved.

Stage 2: I will then talk to the student in-depth about areas that they may want to work on. Areas could be rather general, for example, it could be to score higher in an essay, or it cou...

Areas could be rather general, for example, it could be to score higher in an essay, or it could be something specific like the inner mechanics of short-term revolutionary action in Russia 1917. Regardless of the specific goal, I will ensure through a myriad of techniques, that I have used myself, that the student reaches their desired goal.

Stage 3: Once a goal or set of goals has been established I will work meticulously to ensure that the required skills are taught in an effective and memorable way, which will, in turn, make the student a better historian.
