About me

Hey there! My name is Dan, I am an undergraduate student in economics at the University of Warwick. I have a passion for economics, having studied the subject for over four years (from GCSE to undergraduate level), whilst I also strongly enjoy mathematics, having studied maths and further maths at A level. Having recently completed 5 A-Level subjects and 13 GCSEs all with strong grades, I believe I have an excellent experience of the types of exams today's students face, and can use this...

If you think you can benefit from my services, get in touch and we'll arrange a session - I'd love to support your learning!

About my sessions

I aim to make my sessions enjoyable and provide a relaxing environment in which students feel comfortable expressing themselves, engaging with subject content and pushing themselves to higher levels. By finding the strengths and weaknesses of students in the subject, and listening to their questions and concerns, I aim to tailor my sessions so that each student can maximise their potential and improve their confidence with the material on the curriculum. Students will eventually be encouraged...

Students will eventually be encouraged to push past their comfort zones and test themselves in the upper reaches of the subject. I believe in providing careful focus on key concepts, so that the students develop a rigorous understanding of core principles upon which to build their knowledge, allowing them to tackle more challenging concepts, which will ultimately lead to a higher grade bracket. Each session will involve applying content to an exam-like scenario, and will provide a summary of what was covered, with work set to be completed outside of contact hours to consolidate this.

My son has been tutored by Dan at A level Economics for over a year now and the improvement in my son's knowledge, confidence and ability to tackle exam questions is very evident. Dan has really good subject matter knowledge coupled with a very personable teaching method. He has an abundance of enthusiasm. My son initially approached the tutoring with slight scepticism but now is not the case. Another point of note is that Dan never rushes the sessions often going over the hour. He also puts a lot of effort outside the sessions gather exam questions and marking work. Well worth the money.
