About me

I am currently a Second Year Law and Sociology student at the University of Warwick. I have always valued my education and have a huge love of learning.

Having studied Sociology at both GCSE and A-Level, and am now completing a degree in Sociology shows my love for the subject. I have a great deal of knowledge and I know what it takes to excel in the exams.

Having studied Sociology at both GCSE and A-Level, and am now completing a degree in Sociology shows my love for the subject. I have a great deal of knowledge and I know what it takes to excel in the exams.

As well as this, I am very passionate about maths. Having an A* in both GCSE Maths and GCSE Statistics, meant I carried on my learning into A-Level. I now have an A-Level in Maths (A) and Further Mathematics (C). I have previously tutored maths from KS1 through to GCSE, taking one student from a C to an A grade.

I am a very approachable person and like to think I put my students at ease. Most students are often too shy to ask for help or say when they do not understand, however, I like to think my warming personality and tutoring style help people overcome this. I have been tutoring for 6 years now, meaning I have picked up plenty of tricks along the way. I am very easy-going so can adapt to my students needs and wants.

About my sessions

As previously stated, 6 years of tutoring experience means I can be very flexible. I am easily able to adapt and work in a way that suits each individual student.

As previously stated, 6 years of tutoring experience means I can be very flexible. I am easily able to adapt and work in a way that suits each individual student.

For maths, I often build on what is being taught in school. A key to understanding maths is knowing where formulas come from and the reason behind each problem. Once this has been overcome, I feel students are more willing to engage and have a greater understanding. Starting with the basics, I will then ease students into exam questions and different ways of approaching said questions. I have access to the online tool, method maths which is a great resource for finding existing exam questions.

When it comes to sociology, I have a plethora of resources, bookes and study techniques. Understanding key concepts and terminology is key when starting the subject. From this, I will add greater depth to the ideas, adding evaluation and analysis on key points. Adding in key theorists and perspectives is key to succeeding in the subject, and my extensive studying time means I have plenty of techniques to memorise and understand this.

Once the student has all of these details, I will help apply this to an essay situation.
